I have some off the shelf e-machines that I got so I wouldn't play any games (especially counter strike and wow), they work but the fps is like molasses. It's just for school, the 30" LCD is a nice touch when working on ms word, I can work on it across the room. I'm giving this setup to my little sister though, she just got accepted to college on a soccer scholarship. I'm going to use my ps3 this summer and when I get my new job I'm getting a powerbook probably, depends on the prices.

My desktop is a Dell, not sure about any of the specs other than it was a Christmas present so it was free... = ) Also have a new HP laptop that I should know more about considering how many times I've been all over it with the cops and insurance company in the last few months, but to me a computer is a computer as long as I can turn it on and get a picture on the screen... = )

At home I'm in Dell He l l (or purgatory, if you like)... a 4+ year old Latitude (laptop) that has no "C" ";" or "home" keys. The graphics card is so lousy that when I play WoW, I don't even see the roads!!!
BUT I'm working with my son to build me a new one. It will have a PINK case!!! I looked at the pink monitors, but they're not very good quality. I did manage to find pink ethernet cables and a pink mouse & keyboard combo!! I know... COLOR is the most important factor in choosing a computer! LOL. Actually, Alex knows all the specs. About the only thing I know it that it'll have about 2 gigs of Ram, a good graphics card, and a large hard drive. THEN I'll have to decide if I want to give in to my WoW addiction again.

LOL. The funny part was that I told Alex (my son) that I wanted an UGLY case so if someone broke in they wouldn't steal it thinking it's a piece of junk.
 When he saw the pink case his response was, "Oh god, NO ONE will steal THAT!" LOL... Then we discussed putting a Barbie sticker on it so potential theives would think it REALLY sucks!

Dell Optiplex 170L Pretty basic really... 2.8gig processor 512meg ram 40gig hard drive (We operate on a server so we dont get large hard drives for our PC's here at work) CD-R/RW Dell 19" monitor Home: (Cant remember all the specs on this one, its a few years old now) HP Machine 80gig hard drive 512meg ram CD-R/RW 17" LCD Flat Panel Monitor |
