Life is to short to worry about your mistake's as long as you learn from them.

I recently purchased some type of ointment. What I do with it is put it on the snake before it sheds, and it keeps it nice and moist. Using this I have never had any problems. Also, is the humidity in your cage ok?

This thread is a little old but yes my humidity never goes below 60%. She has already shed. I placed her in a wet towel in a pillowcase, and for the most part that did the trick, I also took her in the bathroom with me while I showered. The only thing I would put on my boa to aid her with shedding is liver oil.
