Good luck with your breeding project! Your male is a real beauty. I look forward to seeing pics of the female.

I have to admit, I certainly wouldn't pay that kind of money either...but I'm certainly not above taking it if someone wants to pay me that for one of the babies. As far as I'm concerned, the animal is worth what people are willing to pay for it.

I'm looking forward to the girl too, but it'll be a few months to wait. I have picked her out, and now I'll keep an eye on her and check in over at his place from time to time. She's the orneriest one he's got, but the prettiest too.

Exactly what we were thinking. Jeff, the guy who started the project, is going to breed one of the silver baby males to an Argentine. Should make for some very interesting babies.
As interesting as that sounds I am against the crossing of boa localities, it is hardenough to get pure blood as it is....Especially with B.c.o being endangered..over here in the UK you have to have CITES paper work for them, so there is no way I would cross anything with them....what I would do is get a nice Anery B.c.i breed that with the Scoria so you make hets. Yes this way takes longer to get the nice silver colour but IMO the end result will be a far nicer animal....and it keeps both B.c.i and B.c.o blood lines pure.....I would eurge your friend to not cross with an Argie as the end result will be poor, as IMO most are.

Joe, you make some very good points. I doubt I can talk him out of it, but I'll definitely bring it to his attention. Not ever having had a personal interest in buying an Argentine I admit that I'm really not educated on their current condition...having as many different animals as I have, my hands are full enough studying as it is. Thanks for bringing it up.

Thank you in advance for your efforts, it is one of those things that annoys me thats all, pure boas look soooo much better than crosses.
