I have been using bark and was wondering if any one knows of any other bedding thats ok to use with red tail boas?

we use aspem and hemlock and good old news print

I start them out on newspaper till after quarantine and then go to aspen. My Maggie Mae loves to burrow down in the shavings!

ive used pine, aspen, bark and newspaper they all seem good to me newspaper was the easiest to use lol. hope that helps

I've only come up with one drawback with using newsprint. The ink that they now use actually does not set for up to 3 months. So if your newsprint gets wet you will have some color changes on your snake. You can get newspaper that has no print on it by the roll from some newspaper companies or use plain white paper towel until they get a little bigger and then use aspen. If you must use the less expensive pine, make sure that it is kiln dried so as to lessen the danger of it still containing creosote
