LOL They are beautiful, somewhat expensive though!! Maybe if we win the lotto tomorrow night

Found the other site - http://www.boa-constrictor.com/ - unfortunately there's no longer an English option to click on so you can't understand what is written, unless you're fluent in German!

Ah yeah .. erm told you I'm no good with technology! Hehe I'll try that next time Donna

That would be nice Ken.. however, how much did you pay for it?? All those morphs are pretty pricey and it's one of those things where you would know if you had one, as breeders are usually specialist in boas and spend a lot of time breeding and sorting genetics,. Sometimes a boa may look like a morph or locality but often turns out to be just a very pretty common.

P.S. I believe Argentinian localities are on CITES and therefore come with paperwork - not sure about this, but in any case, like the Surinam, they are all quite rare and extremely expensive.

Too true Donna - she certainly is beautiful. The sites are great.. the boamorphs owner is actually the breeder who we orginally bought our three adult Bearded Dragons from, although he doesn't deal in bearded dragons himself now. Our hogg islands also originally came from him, though we bought them from a previous owner, and he is a very reputable breeder. Now, I just wish I could afford one of those sunglows or albinos!

Actually we did not pay for it. It was a gift to KJ from the curator of Reptiles at the Virginia Zoo. He got it through a breeder friend. It was my opinion that it was an ordinary red tail boa. But the "Suriname" lingo came up in a conversation with the curator and myself. Then again who really knows ?? when you add up individuality, cross breeding, morphing and whatnot it could be from anywhere, bred with anything, related to anyone !!!

LOL Could be! .. you will never really know for sure unless it is possible to get in touch with the actual breeder and they know of its parentage and the genetic heritage behind it. Beautiful snake whatever it is.. See how it looks when it's older - they change so much with age, and baby common boas are often mistaken for RTBs because of their red tails when young, which disappear with age.
