I've been looking around checking out some of the books offered online, i'm debating buying one, or two. Though I'm debating, if its really worth buying a book for something with as much information online about them as a Boa Constrictor.
regardless, I've heard Complete Boa Constrictor: A Comprehensive Guide to the Care, Breeding, and Geographic Races, mentioned a few times, and it looks great, however, I'm not sure if I want to spend $50 on this book, though if I'm going to buy a book, I want to buy a really good one, there was another one I was looking at that was a bit less, One for like $37 (Captive Husbandry and Propagation of the Boa Constrictors and Related Boas) and also one for $10 (The Boa Constrictor Manual) that both also looked like good books.

I'm just curious what everyones opinion on these books are, and If someone could point me towards Other Good Books.

I'm not up on boa books at all, but I wonder if you've looked on some of the online book discount sites such as Half.com and Alibris: Used Books, Used Textbooks, Rare & Out-of-Print Books .

I have the Comprehensive Guide. I bought it used on ebay for $20.00. In my opinion it is awesome.

I'll have to start looking through ebay and the other book stores for it, it loks like a great book, and from what i've heard it is Great!
It is kinda the one I want the most, but I have a hard time spending $50 + shipping on a book, makes me feel like i'm buying textbooks.

Have you tried the library? There's nothing wrong with free and you may find what you are looking for there. If you find information you may want to refer to again in the future you can coy the pages for a nominal fee. Plus you probably can just check the book out again and again depending upon demand. Just a thought.

Yeah, I may check the library for the comprehensive guide, I just bought an assortment of books on ebay, something like 17 books for $30 (including shipping). There not all on snakes, but most of them are.

Most of what I see at the librarys are very basic, beginner type handbooks.
