Urg!! Snake Regurge
Gah!!
My little boa Kayne just regurgitated!!!! We fed him two little fuzzies yesterday. This was our third time feeding him, and we have not had any problems until now. I don't know why this happened! Will they regurge for no reason? None of my snakes have ever regurged before. Is there anything I should do besides remove the mess???

Re: Urg!! Snake Regurge
What are your temps ? some snakes regurge if there is not enough heat to aid in digestion. I'm a firm believer is upping the prey size as opposed to feeding multiple preys.

Re: Urg!! Snake Regurge
unless there is an underlying medical condition regurges generaly come from one of three things, or a bit of all mixed together.
1. Prey size, prey number to large. 2. Temps not right (just what kenman said) 3. Excesive stress after feeding (I.E. handling after a meal) As for what to do, really all you can do is clean up, and correct any problem that may be causing it. but also keep a close eye on him, it is a rather stressful thing for a snake to go through.

Re: Urg!! Snake Regurge
I was told on another forum that I had to wait at least 2 weeks to feed him, as well as waiting until he pooped to feed him again.
I am going to put him a small tub of warm water, and see if it aids him in pooping. What he ate was acutally smaller than I've fed him before. And we don't handle any of our snakes after they eat, except for putting them back in their tanks.

Re: Urg!! Snake Regurge
I'd just clean up the mess an leave him be for the week. Ggive him a week and then go with a smaller prey size than usual, maybe one instead of two.
When he poops is irrelavant. And make sure your temps are right.
