Mustache shed again over the weekend. This is the 3rd shed since we took her in in January. She had a perfect shed! Today she is smooth and shiny. She's looking good!

I'll have to measure her this week and see how long and what she weighs now. The last measurement was 6 foot and 11.3 lbs. Her first weight with us was 10.8.

Great news, if she's got healthy sheds and is putting on weight, you can be pretty sure you're doing a good job with her.

Here's pics! Also, I measured her length at 6 1/2 feet. Her girth was 9 inches around. What should she be eating?

Either xlg or jumbo rats. Or possibly multiples of either. If the big rats don't leave a noticeable lump, it may be time to move up to rabbits.
But if you think the kids may have a problem with feeding bunnies, multiple rats will do fine as well.

She is looking great! Its always a great sign when they have full perfect sheds, its almost like it is their way of saying, "you are doing everything exactly the way you should be, keep it up". Nice job! I feed my large male rabbits. I would not do this in front of the children seeing as they are at such a young age, it may cause problems with parents. In fact, if it were me I would not feed her in front of the kids at all, you never know how parents are going to react, or the kids for that matter.
