I woke up this morning to a glob of urates in Jasmine's water pan, and a strang object. My boyfriend said that it looked like there was a jelly bean in the water. Sure enough, that's what it looks like. I don't think it's big enough to be a slug, or the right color. It is squishy, but when I held it to the light, I saw what appeared to be veins. Could it be that it was a developing "fetus" (is that the right word), and it died? I couldn't see anything inside of it, just the "veins". Also, there wasn't any brown fecal matter, just like a stringy olive greenish colored membrane type thing attatched to the urates.
Can someone please tell me what this was? Should I be worried? Could she be going into premature labor?

Never kept snakes before, but if that was my snake I would get a ziplock bag to put that whatever in and take it and the snake to the vet. Just my opinion. Remember I've never kept snakes.

i put in a ziploc bag with some water so it doesnt dry out, and put it in the fridge.
I can't get to the vet today, unless the one here that's open late has their rep vet there. We're going to call the breeder who's been helping us through her ordeal, and see what he says about it. Ergggg.

Wow that sure is strange. I have no clue what it could be like luceys friend said someone will probably chime in. If she is gravid/pregnant I would definatly see a vet asap. I tried to google to see if I could come up with something, but had no luck. Sorry! Keep us updated...

I agree, i'd take it to a exotic animal vet. To help everyone here, if she is gravid, you may want to list the temps in the tank, how far along she is, and anything else pertainent
