New Addition

This is what our member has to say: ditto what Nicole said. That is one lucky snake! And oh -- wow-- you're lucky too! A perfect match, I'd say....

Re: New Addition

She really was fortunate that you won her and not someone else. I hate it when petstores raffle off animals. I'd much rather see them raffle off a $20 gift certificate - or a tank or something.

But, what can you really do about it?

Congratulations, though. I can't wait to see the pics.

Indeed!
Particularly when its something that is going to be the size of a boa constrictor!

Re: New Addition

That was my concern also. Alot of the people that entered I could tell were clueless as to what a boa involves (you had to be present to win). After I won it a girl that might have been 15 offered me 200 bucks for it. I just laughed. Alot of people seemd unhappy (I also won a consolation prize, a zoo-med lighting system) they were not happy that I won 2 of the 5 prizes. The funniest thing was prior to the drawing I purchased a new 30 gallon critter tank for my Leopard Geckos, when I was leaving with the snake, tank, crickets an the lighting system some moron said "what an idiot,,,,,keeping a boa in a small tank like that
" the owner just looked at him and said "that guy has 5 boas already and has been raising reptiles when your mom was still in diapers".

That's great. Makes you sound positively ancient , but definitely a cool thing to hear. How long have you known the owner?

Re: New Addition

I've known the owner for about 14 years now, they take good care of me and usually give me double of what I pay for when I buy feeders for the lizards, turtles and snakes. I actually purchase everything I need from them except the animals themselves. It is also one of the largest petstores I've ever seen.
