Re: First Boa...
Well my Mother-in-law didn't go to the store and buy the snake but while we were picking up feeders my wife was on the phone with her and she had said something about the boas. So my mother-in-law said buy it, i put the money on your account, an that she needed to get a gift for me any way. My own mother is the one we really dread seeing hard to say but true. Oceans are a good start. Have you thought of moving?

Re: First Boa...
Oh Merlin, that is just MEAN...
(mental note: I MUST try that next time my mother-in-law or crazy neighbor visits!!!) Titus: "Oceans are a good start" ... (mental note: that's a good back-up plan!) Oh forgot to say: that is a really beautiful boa: I really think the grey/silver ones are prettier than the brown ones. Good luck with him. Does he have a name?

Re: First Boa...
Andrea - I'm with you I really like the looks of the grey/silver ones though I don't know if the pastels keep this color or "darken" up to a lesser degree than normals. I guess time will tell.
We probed the snake the other night to check since it's settled in and it came back as female do we went with the name Delila. I'll most likely prob her again later in the year just to make sure it's not a male trying to keep us from getting a good count. Though from the feel of how the prob stopped I'm fairly sure it's female. As with males there's a bit more give even if they contract so you can't get a good scale count.
