Re: Traveling Boa
My boa loves to travel, but we only go on day trips, so he is back in his home at night. When I first started taking him places, I would put him in a bag until we got there. He was not happy with that arrangement. I tried letting him just sit on me, but it makes driving difficult if he decides to wrap around a leg. Now, he goes in a softsided mesh small dog carrier that is shared between him and my pomeranian (not at the same time). He is perfectly happy in there, he can see everything and still feel safe, although he always gets a worn article of my clothing to hug and sniff at. He's a big Mama's boy.

Re: Traveling Boa
I would have to agree with everyone who says that the traveling may be the reason for your snakes aggression. Snakes dont do well under stress and will cause them to not eat and ultimately can lead to them dying. I have two red tails one is 8ft and she is a huge baby, her hiss is bigger then her bite because she has never bitten. and I have a baby who is about a year and a half and he is the most docile snake I have ever had. My two youngest boys, which is 2 and 4, can do whatever they want to him and with him. They know the level of respect that they have to have with our snakes and dont do anything that will hurt them, but they can hold their heads and he will just slither around them and do nothing. I myself have never come across a nippy or aggressive red tail, my corn snakes have more aggression.
