No I live closer to the canadian border but I go to kirkland all the time to the vets office, at least once a week. I am going to try to talk to him about the albino, I am sure once again money will talk in his case as it is always about his adoption fees! So tell me a little about yourself, are you prepared for a big snake that apparantly has an attitude? also what kind of enclosure are you planning to use? You know things like that. I am kicking myself in the butt here for turning it down!

Like I said before I have had a large Bermese Python that I rescued so I do know how to handle a large snake. I have had 3 rtbs. the only one with and attiude problem I have delt with is the ball python we had he was around 4 feet. I am willing to work with it and do whats nessisary to help it. right now we are in the prosses of making larger cages for the 2 rtbs we have and we would be willing to make room and a cage for this one.

Hey Nicole. I'm in Olympia WA. Further south, but if you ever need a hand, I've got room and time to give you some help. On the subject of the 6ftish female, if you're still working with her, try keeping her in a cage that opens from under her, such as one that you can slide off a table to get her out. Make sure it is secured on though! That will reduce the biting when you take her out, common with animals who've been fed in their living quarters. As for feeding her more. Feed her something as wide as her body, and as often as she'll eat for now. The more she eats, the less she'll worry about when her next meal will show up. When holding her, sit still. Wear gloves maybe? Do not move though, let her explore you like you're a tree. When you do move, move cautiously and not near her face.
I hope that helps, thats what I have done in teh past with rescues, worked for me. Though I at least had a slight bit of information on them, or could figure it out (being fed in the cage.)

Email me if you need any space to home some reptiles, I can meet you somewhere so you won't have to go all the way here. I'm competent and have plenty of room to help out my favorite animals

So tell me what your "favorite animals" are. I have quite a few that need new homes, but my idea of home is a forever home. I also noticed that you are a colllege student and was just curious about your plans on what to do with your animals once you are out of college. I have lots of iguanas that need forever homes and so forth. At the moment Cleo is in need of a vet again, ugggggggghhhhhhhhhh....... Tonight I noticed that she had a mite on her so naturally I panicked as I hate bugs, I took her out, totally stripped her enclosure, gave her a bath, and picked many many mites out from under her scales. We have been battling the mites on her for quite some time and I thought I got them all but I was WRONG. So now we go to the drastic measures and give her Ivermectin injections as I am just done with the mites! I also noticed when I opened her mouth that she is very pale (probably due to mites) so we are going to the vet again. She could definately use a good forever home though but not until she is done with the ivermectin injections which last about 6 weeks and she starts being nice and pink in the mouth

So Frustrating.......

I love the snakes, Boas and smaller pythons like balls, I have taken care of an iguana before, One with Metabolic Bone Disease specifically. Mites, I know the pain, my Isadore (boa constrictor imperator) came with mites, and mental problems, I thought I had the mites controlled, and then they just busted out all over my apartment two weeks ago. I plan to keep all of my pets through their lifetimes, I started snakes when I was young, soon as I could walk and catch them. Then I started larger snakes, boa constrictor imperator's when I was in my pre-teens. I love to learn anything I can about proper care for animals. I would prefer to take in snakes, honestly, but I can and would gladly help anything, iguanas included.

Sounds pretty promising to me, WE need to chat a little more through private message as I am sure not everyone wants to read all our chit chat If you are interested in adopting one p.m me I have at the moment 14 iguanas, 3 red tails, 1 juvenile ball python (adoption pending, we shall see) and tree frogs (dumpys) . A lot are on medication and need to finish their treatment first of course. So what happened to the iguana you had? Another question is do you have room for these in your apt? and what does your landlord say
