Feeding question!

Hey 'yall! Long time no see! Wow... I miss everybody! But All I do these days is work work work!

Quick question. I went to feed Bilboa today and realized that he is in the blue eyed faze. He hasn't eaten for about three weeks now, and he probably wont finish shedding for another two. Should I go ahead and feed him now, or wait the two weeks?

You could attempt to, but mine won't eat when the eyes are opaque. They usually clear up in a day or 2 before shedding. you could try and feed then.

Aren't you not supposed to feed right before shedding?

I wouldn't feed till after the shed. Most snakes won't eat at this time anyway.

He's a Columbian Red Tail Boa, about five pounds now. He eats a large rat.... and I know it sounds petty, but at $8.00 a rat, I really don't want to have to take the chance of having throw it away if he doesn't eat it. My budget is pretty small.

LoL. I do... believe it or not. Honestly, I could probably just order them off the internet and safe a ton of money, and I should... but my friend works at the only pet store around here that sells rats in any form and I think she would be rather hurt if I didn't buy from them... Oh well.
