Mmmm...all this talk about rats is making me hungry. All my boas eat when they are in shed but you should go ahead and wait. A fat shedding snake is a very grumpy snake I found out a week or so ago..

Yea I believe it depends on the snake. My bull snake Pepper will eat no matter what. Shedding eyes completely white he'll eat it. On the other hand my Diamond x Jungle carpet python will not eat if she's going to shed at all until she's completely shed. The ball python will eat whenever also.
