I had a very funny experience with my little sinaloan tonight;when I put her back in her terrarium, she went under her hyde as she usually does, but this time she stuck her head out again and looked at me, as if to say "well, and where's my mouse!?!" I had to laugh,it was so cute!
It really was like she expected that I put her into her feeding tank, like the last time when I handled her,and she was now surprised to be back home instead !LOL!!

Did you ever have a funny experience with your babies?I don't really think that snakes are that stupid,as people always say!!

Well I know snakes can sorta give you looks at certain times when you are looking at them, and of course Im sure depending on how you interpret it, it can be any number of things. But I definately do know what your talking about.

My baby king uses half a coconut as a hide. It has a little opening, but he choses to use a tiny hole in the top instead. He pops up like a little periscope and peers around. Very sweet!

I love it when our corns and python pop out of their hides or out from under a paper towel edge like that. They always look at us expectantly like they're asking if dinner's on yet

my blood python (Fluffy) decided to take up residance in his water bowl for 2 days straight. after I figured enough was enough and evicted him I aslo put a smaller water bowl in for afew days to keep him from getting back in. he wasn't too happy about his smaller bowl and as soon as he realized what happened he coiled around the small bowl and actual started hissing while staring at me through the glass.... this went on for 2 or 3 minutes. just when you are starting to think "dumb snakes" they do something like this that makes you wonder.

I would replace the original bowl. Snakes tend to soak for a number of reasons. Its in their best interest to have a place to do so.
