Tri Colour Hoggies!

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!

Could only really get photos of the male, the female was a liiittle too stressed from the journey.

I know its fuzzy, but it kinda shows how big he is.

I know some of these are really dark, but they are the best I could get...

The only photo of the female I could get...

And a very unexpected snake

I can't resist the amels. XD

Woooo.

Oooops, and some photos the guy I bought them from sent me.

Nice looking snakes, I love the three colors. I've only seen hognose once in person. So with more pictures I would be able to recognize them the next time I see them.

These are Lystrophis pulcher, a South American species that's not actually related to North American hognoses (aside from being a colubrid). They share the same name of "hognose", but aside from that, they're a completely differet snake.

From what I understand they're not very common in captivity, so you've got some jewels there! Beautiful snakes I also find it interesting that the "Red touches yellow kills a fellow. Red touches black, venom lack" rhyme still applies even with this species, even though it's not a kingsnake.
