Amber (my daughter) and I are building a robot for a school project. lol She designed him out of the big block legos. This afternoon we are going to take him apart and rebuild him with drilled holes and pipe cleaners. The pipe cleaners will be used as hard wiring that connects each lego. lol I will take a few pic before she leaves with it tomorrow. It should look pretty cool when done! lmao

Besides that I am working on our beautiful new R.I.D for the members. Those of you privy to be in this section of HC are also privy to check it out. lol

Yeah for spring is right! Yesterday Ken and I took a nice drive in the 8... which is about the color of those daffodils. We headed up to the foothills on the western side of the Sierra Nevada range. We went to Jamestown, Sonora, Columbia, Murphy's and went down into Mercer Cavern. It was a 16 story descent into the earth. We saw awesome formations. Of course it was also a 16 story ascent. Beautiful!

Building of Grizzly and Wings new enclosure is finally done, Thank god! Still trying to get wing and prayer to eat, which is a bigger challenge than I thought. Ended up taking the day off yesterday and going to the zoo without my kids, saw all kinds of cool stuff, left daddy at home to deal with kids and animal chores, poor guy Was a great stress reliever, definately needed it. Oscar is bumping in to me as I type this and cying, and Grizzly seems to hate his new home Ended up with a Tokay yesterday because my hubbies sucker sign is flashing, lol. So I came home to a new addition. Thank God its not another huge iguana or tort. Turned down 1 large iggy and another turtle on Friday, definately need to find a home for the dumpys and the Bearded Dragon among other things before I can take more in, lol.

Days consist of ig slavery and Oscar slavery, kids, dishes, squaking birds which are dwindling down, yeah,

I love to scrapbook and I love to use quotes in my layouts. I also make homemade cards. So I decided to do my part in helping this thread become the longest by posting a quote a day.

Here is my first one. I will start with my favorite. I never actually used this in a scrapbook, but these are just awesome words to live by when things aren't always going right in your life...

I just had to share... This is a very happy day for my family. My 21 year old nephew returned today from the Army. He has been in the Army for 3 1/2 years. He served in Iraq with the 1/37 AR, as a Abrams M1A1 tank driver for 14 months, from January 2006 to February 2007. When he wasn't in Iraq, he was station in Friedburg, Germany at the same base where Elvis Presley served his time in the Army (just a little trivia for ya!) It was a very scary time for my whole family in particular my brother and his wife. But by the grace of God Matt returned to us today in perfect condition!

I am so proud of him and his service to his country. I haven't seen him since last summer when he came home on mid-tour leave. They only live about 10 minutes from me which is great so I will get to see him a lot. But my brother and his wife, at Matt's request asked that he have his first few days home be just for them, along with my younger nephew Joseph. The family is having a big welcome home party next Saturday. Can't wait to see him!!

This last one was taken at home of course the Christmas before he left for Iraq. He is with his dad (my brother Mike) who is Police Chief in Glenolden, PA. Matt plans on attending the police academy and becoming a police officer like his Dad.

Always brings tears to my eyes when I see soldiers coming home or leaving on the news.....not sure I could handle something like that.......

Why do you alway spend the weekend trying to catch up? Then Monday comes and you don't feel as though you have had any break at all. Oh well only 4 day until Spring Break and being able to sleep in, so no early post for me.
