And there's my limit. I'll eat just about anything strange that you can think of, but definitely NOT those. My friend (who grew up on a cattle farm in the mid-west) told me once about the process, and how "fresh" they eat them, and I was done with that. Give me brains or grubs or just about anything, and I'll give it a try. I draw my line at blood, certain parts of the animal, and live anything.

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
Mmmm... I LOVE eating odd stuff! Frog legs are nice, as is ostrich and buffalo. Though I don't care much for rabbit... could be how it was cooked. Duck is delicious too.
My grandmother used to make a wonderful beef tongue and heart stew... my brother and I absolutely loved it! Mom didn't tell us what it was until we were much older. In fact, when I go to the taco wagons, I always order tongue tacos. *yummy*

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
Bear stew, Buffalo steaks, rabbit jerky, all good for me, I'm not a big fan of organ meats...
No one told me that "Sweet bread" was a pancreas.....bleh.
I have had tongue before, its kinda...spongy.
If I ever go to central or south america I'll probably try iguana....as long as it's not like lobsters where you pick the one you want. I LOVE lobster, but I can't look it in the face before I eat it. I'm too sympathetic.

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
Thats my brother's favorite dish.
I just eat wierd combinations of things. Like I dip my grilled cheese sandwhiches in applesauce. And I like to eat saltines with honey on them.

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
Liz, you have to try Oreo's with Cheddar Easy Cheese on them....as strange as it sounds my friends and I have been eating them for years. It's a product of running out of crackers, celery, and anything else you would put cheese on, but having a terrible cheese craving while my parents were out of town and I was too sick to leave the house.
