If it is indeed dead go to home depot and buy one for 1/2 the price so it doesn't sting so much if this one dies too.

some of them do...almost anything you buy at a petstore you can find cheaper at a home/garden store.

Thanks for the tip. I'm going to stick the battery back in tonight. I'm not in a huge hurry since at the moment I have the one out of the tank I'm selling. But I have to deliver that one soon, so I will need a new one if this is dead.
