Snow!!!
Snow, yuck! It is cold here in Pennsylvania too. This past week we were having beautiful weather 75-80 on some days. Then Tuesday night and most of yesterday we had a big rain store and it brought winter back!!
It is only 36 degree here this morning, I had to turn my heater on for little bit!! I am off today for one more day. I go back to work tomorrow I work one day, and we get out two hours early tomorrow due to the holiday weekend. Then I am off until Monday and back to the regular 5 day a week thing again. I am looking forward to my vacation in June. We go to Chincoteague VA. My husband and I have been going for 20 years, not every year. But this will be our 5th year in a row that we have taken our annual vacation there. Kate LOVES it. She would rather go to the beach and do all of the nature stuff than go to say Ocean City with all of the amusement rides. Last year she broke her Humerous (upper arm, just below the shoulder, luckily just missed the growth plate) 5 days before we left for vacation. She was simply playing in the back yard with her friends and slipped backwards and instead of just falling in the grass she put her arm back to break her fall and ended up breaking her arm. I didn't believe her at first, I was like get up, your okay. But when she continued to really cry I thought she just jammed it or something. BUt after about a half hour and she was still really crying and upset off we went to the ER. At first they thought her shoulder was dislocated and then after the xrays came back they saw it was broken. It was a horrible night. The ER was packed, we didn't even get a room, we were in the hall. A herion overdose came in, with paramedics up on the gurney doing CPR, it was like and episode of the television show ER, lol So this year I told her she is not allowed outside the week before we leave. She couldn't do ANYTHING on vacation. No swimming, no horseback riding, she was miserable, so of course our whole vacation was messed up, poor kid!

You ought to be in crazy Oklahoma! 85 one day,...45 the next!
Its giving me a complex! Which doesn't take much anyway! Been trying to figure out this darn didgeridoo! So far I have succeeded in making a sound somewhat reminiscent of a goose with gas in a stiff breeze! ![]()

Merlin those are awesome instruments. Don't you have to know how to do the circular breathing to play them.

You are supposed to get the drone down first and then learn circular breathing. Some of the aboriginal players use it, some don't. I have been trying to learn to do it myself so far without a lot of luck. Its not something that your body really wants to do, breathing in and blowing out at the same time!
My wife was a trumpet player in highschool and she says she never did get it.

cody you can reshape the beeswax mouthpeice to make the opening smaller.
The one I have is made of PVC but you couldn't tell it by looking at it. It really looks like a peice of a branch. I couldn't believe it was plastic pipe! The maker heated the pipe and shaped it. Its about 50" long by 2" thick.

Apparently my cousins brother-in law can do the circular breathing thing. He teaches it as well. Don't know if you remember the Helix band. He's the lead singer.

They were more popular in the late 70's to 80's. Don't worry you didn't miss much.
