LOL I guess I am lucky. I pay between .78 and .98 cents a bunch for collard, mustard and turnip greens.
And if the greens are always slimy a good long talk with the head of the produce department is in order. And the store manager as well if that doesn't work!

I was doing the happy dance at .79 a pound. I usually have to pay around 1.75 a bunch for slim. LOL I'll put seeds in and keep re-sowing as needed and won't have to buy any from May-November if I'm lucky. This year I'll plant some directly in the tort and boxies enclosure so they can pick and eat, as they want.

I was paying over the 2 dollar mark as well for dandelions. lasted me about a week. Always had to pick through them. Usually slim pickings.

LOL Around here folks would look at you like you were crazy if you asked for dandelions at the grocery store!
In my area dandelions are something that you put weed killer on to try to get rid of. (Though not in MY yard!)

Another mindless and uneventful day, thank God. Oscar is being a terd and getting into everything! He pushed the door open to my sons room and stepped on his ps2 I dont think it works anymore! Oh well thankfully they are cheap! He wants to go outside and cant because it is so cold right now. So he is digging at the back door and ramming it as I type this. I wonder how long before he gets big enough to just push it off its hinges
Ordered the glass for the other enclosure being built this afternoon. Now I definately need to go to the grocery store as Oscar just ate the last stitch of greens in my house, what else is new, lol. I think I will take lots of pics tonight to update all my records.Well just some more thinking out loud. |

One more day till vacation (doing the happy dance)! I get to sleep in, I don't have to read any stories to kids or listen to them complain. That right I still have my own two at home. Anyone up to having two more kids for a week. One really likes herps, the other one can tolerate them. LOL
