Nicole- There is a reason we call it "Ig-Slavery" Rather than ownership. As far as they are concerned you are here to serve them!
I want a road bike! I've been riding a loaned mountain bike and my friend janet let me ride the road bike and it was amazingly easy to ride. I guess you getwhat you pay for...So either way if someone wants to buy me a sweet birthday gift.....

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
Look for a used road bike. I got mine for $500 and it was in great condition.

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
Yeah i'm off to wander around the pawnshops and garage sales on Saturday. Hopefully something comes of it, and if nothing else I might come across some nice camera stuff instead...

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
try craigslist and bike shops. Some bike shops sell used bikes.

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
How is the weather where everyone is at? It has been so stinkin' hot here in southeastern Pennsylvania this summer. And humid too! It has been in the 90's with high humidty for over a week and it is going to continue this week. Tomorrow or Wednesday it is supposed to be very close to 100 degrees! We finally got some rain last night. It has rained in a while either. My grass is pretty much dead in my yard. We have been watering the garden so that is okay.
I am going to hate to see my electric bill when it come this month!

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
We are at 98 with high humidity.
Thank goodness we have a bit of wind today!
And thats the forecast for pretty much the next few weeks!
Luckily the humidity has kept the temps down. we should already be in the triple digits by now!
