Re: The Internets Longest Thread
Well just some more thinking out loud. It looks like we are getting into the business of building ponds and owning rentals. The pond thing is not so bad but the rentals can be a bad thing!
My hubby is looking into buying a TRAILER PARK! Hideous! Dont get me wrong there are some decent ones out there but this one is a dump, with some very shady people who live there that can never pay their rent! So I will be what, a SLUMLORD! Well technically NO!, I have no tolerance for complete nastiness, and would rather just boot half of them out and clean it up! The old man that owns it now is just tired of the health dept down his back all the time! I really cant see how this would be a financial gain for us, with all the legal fees to evict, and then removing the trailers that people cant move when they get evicted, Then you have to fill those lots, be it with someone else moving theirs in or buy a NEW one and use it as a rental. Then on top of that with a purchase this large our business goes on the line, which I am NOT ok with! What is he thinking! I am too old to deal with people like that, lol. My philosophy is boot almost all of them out and start over, that sounds spendy! Maybe it wouldnt be so bad if it was turned into a senior citizen park! AHHHHHHH someone help me, lol
So back to the pond thing, I have two I have to help build next month! One should be classified more like a lake though, lol. I am so jealous!!! I want a pond that I can float around on! Hmph its not fair! My hubby keeps telling me to wait patiently, the next house will finally be our dream house. Dont get me wrong this one is ok, but it does not have a lake for a pond. And besides we have to put a new roof on it, ye haw! And the color of it is a hideous olive green! And here is the great thing to boot, we have to reapair the side sewer because it has tree roots growing through the lines which is causing a tremendous amount of problems in the one bathroom, so after sending the video snake in, it confirmed my worst nightmare! So guess what we start this weekend! Somebody help me, lol
Okay feel so much better now, maybe I will pick a fight with Oscar that always seems to amuse me, lol

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
I think he is just wanting to expand too quickly. Who knows maybe he thinks he can rule the world, lol . He is pretty serious about the trailer park and buying some more rentals, UGH! The only good thing is that we can fix almost everything that goes wrong in them, so it does not cost us an arm and a leg for maintenence. I however feel a trailer park that can hold over 100 tenants is quite a bit risky at the moment, especially when half of them dont pay! It is also such a DUMP! That would be SEMI TRUCKS full of garbage to the dump, yuck!

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
I have a confession...
For some reason the tails on african fat tailed geckos freak me out. I don't know why. The fatter, the creepier. Not as freaked out as the arachnid forum, but almost.
Yeah, I suck

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
Thats the first I have ever heard that one. I hear about snakes and such but never about the tail of African fat tailed geckos. I am with you though on the arachnids! I am trying hard to get over that phobia, but it does not seem to be working for me. The owner of the pet shop here, which is a pretty good one, actually has been trying to help me get over that fear, just a couple of weeks ago he actually took a T out to let me hold it, I was fine until it started moving on me, then the whole cold sweat thing, then it got caught in my hair I started freaking out and crying like a schoolgirl until he had it off of me, so that did not work out so well. Now I am teased ruthlessly every time I go in there, next time he teases me about being a girly girl I am going to give him a fat lip, lol

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
I was on the phone with a friend the other night, and she passed me off to another friend while she got something, and all the sudden from the background I hear a bloodcurtling shriek, followed by "Spider! Spider! Spider!" and another scream.
Then after a moment, I hear, "Oh, it's just a piece of fuzz."
I was highly amused.
I have strange fears of my own, though, so I'm not judging, just finding the situation funny.

I don't even have a bike...i would think that would be the first purchase....janet lent me a bike, helmet and jersey...but no shorts because she has a fairly wider behind than me.

seems to happen when you have kids, lol. My behind is a little wider I found an old pair of pants from when I only had one kid size 5, tried to put them on but did not have enough crisco so it did not work out so well for me But then I have to wonder if it is really all the kids or the cheetos
