Too funny...
I am at work and I heard some commotion in the lobby just now. Evidently the front doors kept opening and closing by themselves. A resident when out to see what was going on and a very large male box turtle was trying to get into the building!! Someone moved him into a small ivy patch but it is right near the main entrance which is very busy with car traffic. So I had one of our drivers take him down the hill to a nice wooded area that has a small stream too!

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
I'm probably buying a new laptop this weekend, but a new tent and sleeping bag are on the top of my list.
We bought walmart brand sleeping bags two years ago and we've pretty much hated them from the start. Some how we've managed to keep making excuses to not buy $300 sleeping bags, but with as much time as we spend in them it's starting to seem like a good idea...
I hate spending money!

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
Dicks has some good quality, middle of the ground sleeping bags. Don't get 4 season bags unless you plan on camping in the middle of winter. We have 40 degree bags and they are pleanty warm. Too warm sometimes.
Coleman sleeping products suck. I love the northface tent we have although I find it too hot during the day. not enough airflow with it all buttoned up. Its a 3 season and I think ran us $250 (it was a gift so it really ran us nothing).

Kelly, that's funny. The most we usually get here are unusual spiders that I have to collect quickly before someone kills them.

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
We had a mole get into the lobby last year. The poor thing was scared to death! Someone called maintenance to kill it!!!!!!!! I managed to get it to go back outside before they go there. We also have an abundance of chipmunks which I think are adorable. The retirement community I work at is set in the middle of 43 acres of land. We are are surrounded by woods on three sides so we do get our fair share of wildlife.

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
Actually I have 2 Coleman sleeping bags and I have been very happy with them. They are rated at 20 degrees and I have been comfortable in them with frost on the ground.
Of course they are even warmer with two of them zipped together and Kathy in with me!

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
I've been raising superworms. The beetles are escape artists and are able to climb just about anything. Of course my wife likes to kill them when she finds them around the house or through them outside. This morning I had to rescue her from something on top of a cabinet in a dish that was making a lot of noise. I admit it did sound like a mouse but it was a superworm beetle. Back in the container he went.
