Re: The Internets Longest Thread
Because of my illness, I have zero fat on my arms and legs. If my feet and calves get too cold, I'll cramp. In the winter, I sleep in my "magic socks," wonderful wool socks that reach all the way to my knees.
I hate foot/leg cramps too!

Cancer Relay for Life
As some of you know I was participating in the Cancer Relay for Life this year. We had 60 teams participating and raised over $132,000. I thought that was pretty good. We used a half mile track and the luminaries were placed all around the track and lit at dusk. It was a little depressing to see that we had enough to go all the way around. They were bought in honour of those who died of cancer. Our team went gung ho and walked almost the entire night. We each took a 2 hour break to sleep and eat. Thanks to everyone who sponsored me.

The event was from Fri 7pm til Sat 7am. Despite heavy rain and severe weather warnings it all went around us (yea prayer works)
We did however have quite the wind and it was difficult keeping the tents on the ground. We had one fly past us at one point.
Apparently it made for a bad hair day.

Consider participating next year it really was an awesome event to raise money for a horrible disease.

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
Well I guess I will think out loud some more. Everyone is doing good now and adjusting to the move. Moving my ponds are a huge pain in the butt! I am still unpacking things. Where did I get so much stuff......grrrr....This house is GINORMOUS compared to the oher one, so I actually can put my china cabinet and hutches and curio cabinets in here I can actually display my Grandmas china ans silver and I put out some of her hummels. I also put out the porcelain dolls that my other grandma collected. My hubby says he is going to barf with all the lace curtains, dols, figurines and such. I told him to get over it and take some Tums
My backyard has now become Oscar territory, so there will be no weed and feed and no pretty lawn But I will do the front yard all pretty! He cannot have it all!!!! I did have to take the garden claw and remove everything that was not grass or a dandelion, that was a pain in the butt!! Speak of the devil he has finally emerged from his bed and is wandering down the hallway, I suppose I should hurry up and get his breakfast before he gets all mad and rams me, lol, what a spoiled brat!

This sentence makes me laugh. I like how the turtle will ram you.

When the turtle (actually Oscar is a Tortoise) is as big as a hassock, it is very easy to be rammed by one LOL.....they do get a little nervy with their larger size eh Nicole??? LOL
