Quote of the day 4/2

"To lie in a golden field and gaze upon a hundred butterflies floating in the the summer sunshine is by no means a waste of time."

Sorry, I don't know who to attribute this quote to.

Another good quote Kelly!

I don't have any pictures of golden fields of butterflies but i've got some more pretty flowers. I went on a hike yesterday and soaked up some sunhine and found some wildflowers. This is a Glacier Lily (AKA Dogtooth Violet)

Kelly talking about her daughters musical ambitions (in Art & Literature) reminded me of some sculptures in Malmö that I love...

The marching band

and some Cello's

Well since this suposed to be the longest thread here is some mindless chit chat and things going on in my home.

Another day of Oscar and Iguana slavery. Oscar is a wake now I hear him moving around in the kitchen, obviously going to start the grazing of the day. Grizzly is still mad and hates his new enclosure, I dont know why. Maybe it is too big.......... Wing definately likes his, tried force feeding him yesterday, he ate one small mouse and was kind enough to give it back to me an hour later Yuck! Prayer kept hers down so far, just leaving both of them alone for now. They really should be eating two to three large rats at a feeding but hopefully the mouse will entice Prayer to start eating, very frustrating. I have not seen mites on either of them for days, obviously the ivermectin is working. It is not something I like using as it can cause lots of problems, However I have never seen such a horrible case of mites. So far I have been very lucky and they have not spread on anything.
Baby Dragon has been pretty lethargic lately, the acsess in the dewlap is getting smaller, we had to start another round of antibiotics to insure that it will go away. She will only eat if you hand feed her, ROTTEN BRAT!

Ziggy is hitting his Prime, so there wont be much interaction between him and I for a while. The little baby is eating like a hog, and amadaus has some of the best ouside manners I have seen in a while for a two year old male ig. Luckys burns have started to break open and ooze grosse disgusting stuff, he hates his antibiotic injections and all the creams I have to put on him. He is meaner than snot and can turn his head around like the excorcist to try to bite you The other big guys are doing great, the green meanie herd I got in a while ago are doing fabulous but definately need a new home, a forever home. We are going to take our porch and enclose it and turn it into a tropical rainforest-sunroom. Hopefully my hubby will start that soon, lol, along with Baby Dragons new house and prayers and the tree fort for our son, Poor Guy, lol and the list goes on and on. everyone else is doing great!

So hows that for mindless thinking out loud

Kelly I am glad your nephew is home safe and sound. When you see him please tell him his service is honored an appreciated!

As for me I am recovering from a 4 day stint at a Renaissance Faire. (AKA Swamp festival 2007!) Tornados and wind the first day and constant rain for the next 48 hours! We got over 4 inches of rain! Large sections of the place were such a quagmire that they brought in bales of hay to put down to make paths through the water and mud!
However I did bring home a new aquisition. Kathy bought me a didgeridoo (The Australian aboriginie instrument.)
Now all I have to do is learn to play it!

Merlin out of the blue the movie "The Gods Must Be Crazy" popped into my brain. Must be the mention of the didgeridoo.
