Well all I ever get are bills! Why would I want to check it if that's all I get?
![]() Speaking of which I need to throw my work address up there since it's where i'm getting all of my packages now since no one is home at mail drop time and my neighbors have sticky fingers.

Re: The Internet's Longest Thread
Well I really must say that children and their innocence really impress me! I love kids very much! So here is a little story about some of the neighborhood kids that live around my house, by the way there is a ton!
I took in a guinea pig a few weeks back that was really, really starved; he came in with a ball python, apparently supposed to be his food (ridiculous). He went immediately up to Seattle and was there for a couple of weeks (very spendy, but worth it). I was talking to one of the neighbor girls about him and she asked if I have to pay for the doctor he was at, I laughed, then explained that it is very spendy. I also used this as an opportunity to teach about the proper care of whatever animal you have, and the suffering they go through if you don't. Well I thought that was the end of that, until two days later, she shows up (along with many others) with toys, clothes, you name it they showed up with it. They took a collection of stuff for me to sell on Ebay. My first reaction is ughhh, more work, lol. However if you would have looked in their proud little eyes, you could not have turned them down. They also said they were going to watch, so now I have no choice but to list them, lmao! I am really touched by the generosity and the innocence of children, my living room is stuffed full of stuff, you name it they brought it, lol. Now if only most the adults I meet had the same feeling about animals I would live in a happy world! Moral to this, I love kids! I should just adopt a bunch, lol!

Re: The Internet's Longest Thread
This is really neat...
Awhile back in this thread - a long while - I posted about my poor mother and her cat Fred. He was clearly a house cat, declawed and everything, who had been abandoned in an area where my mother worked at a Farmer's Market. Anyway, over a long time she befriended the poor little cat, and got it used to people again. When the market was over, she brought him home and kept him as an outside cat. I know, asking for trouble, but with two cat-triggered asthmatics in the house, it was leave him on his own, or keep him well fed and in relative safety in the yard. Anyway, she'd already found a home for him with her friend, but her friend was out of state for a funeral and wouldn't be back for a couple of weeks. During that time, she got a call from someone who said he wanted the cat, and would she sell him. The answer was no, of course. She was already completely attached. Then a couple came up to the house and asked to buy him too. Again, no was the answer. Well, unsurprisingly, he was stolen the next day, right off our yard. (Good Grief, people. Go to a shelter if you want a cat! Why do you need to steal one?) We thought that was the end of it, but, apparently, he just showed up this morning. Yoweled all night, and my mother thought it was a cat in heat, but when the cat was still making that horrendous noise this morning, she went outside, and discovered it was indeed the little cat she'd brought home that she called Fred. Somehow he recognized this house as his home, even though he was barely inside, and wasn't even there for two weeks before he was stolen. I thought that was kind of cool. My mother's absolutely ecstatic. That was one cat she really bonded with.

Re: The Internet's Longest Thread
Cats seem to know where their home is. Fred obviously likes her!
Is Fred fixed? Its possible he went out and about and it was just coincidence. Or maybe he yowled non-stop at this new person's house and they couldn't stand it any more so they brought him back. ![]()

Re: The Internet's Longest Thread
Yeah, I think he was fixed already. I think someone took good care of him for the first part of his life before they abandoned him.
Maybe they DID get tired of him. Wouldn't that be ironic? Maybe their guilty consciences got to them.
