Quick update: All four baby falcons hatched! They were adorable and loud! lol They appeared to be all females and were in excellent health. The Ohio Wildlife members confirmed that the breeding pair are the same pair as last year. This is exciting news for us here in Toledo. They are feeding the babies well and the population of pigeons in the downtown area are going to be sorely depleted until the hatchlings leave the nest to survive on their own. lol Sadly, the statistics of survival rate for these new hatchlings are about 50% to adulthood.
I took plenty of pictures and will be loading them up over this weekend.

Thats too cool!
One of the TV stations here had a pair of redtail hawks that nested on their camera tower, right in front of the camera!
They had a live feed set up of the nest from laying all the way until the baby hawks fledged and left.

Red-tails right in front of the camera!? How cool is that!? I get excited when our little bluebirds hatch. I would be giggling like a little school girl if we had raptors close enough to watch do that...;-D

Raccoons are cute but boy can they be pesky! We had a big problem with them at our old house they were into everything!

Not only are you dealing with something that is very intelligent,...
but they have HANDS!! Trying to keep them out of things is mind boggling.
But the real kicker comes later.
Once they reach sexual maturity they become almost unmanageable and they are quite capable of putting a serious hurt on you!
Adult coons have killed dogs!

Yup...even the females become excessively aggressive once they hit sexual maturity. They do not make good pets - period. They can be extremely dangerous, unpredictable, and unmanageable.
