Re: The Internet's Longest Thread
So, how was everyone's long weekends? I spent a bit of time on a spur of the moment trip to shoot a waterfall.
I got up for a 5am sunrise and it was just me and the swallows sitting on the cliffs over looking the falls.

Re: The Internet's Longest Thread
Yeah its the largest/most interesting one around here as far as I am concerned. It's called Palouse Falls and its about 2 hours south of Spokane, WA.

LOL I have a heavy tan anyways from a lot of time outside so it's not usually a problem.
And trying to drum on a goatskin head with greasy hands is NOT recommended!

Re: The Internet's Longest Thread
Note to others: a head is not the actual head of a goat...it is the part of the drum you hit
Would be quite amazing to see though!

Re: The Internet's Longest Thread
Thats pretty cool, I have a smaller drum my father brought back from africa, i believe it is goatskin.
And lacey, that picture is Awsome, While were all sharing,
I took these Here in San Diego, They were taken with a Camera Phone, so not exactly awsome quality, The whole time out here i've been wishing I had bought a new camera housing before I came out here, I broke my old one.

Re: The Internet's Longest Thread
Beautiful pics guys! I miss scenery like that...not much of that in or around Toledo...lol
Today, I get to see falcon hatchlings! I am sooo excited. The high-rise apartment complex that I manage has a falcons nest on the roof. It is one of four that are known in the state of Ohio. The Ohio Wildlife Organization comes out each year and bands the hatchlings so they can monitor the migration and track the survival of this beautiful bird. The last time they checked the nest...there were 2 hatchlings and 2 eggs. Hopefully today, we will get to see all 4 of the babies. I will have the camera ready and be able to post the pics this week.
