well here is a little interesting story from what happened yesterday.

I will warn you though, I am a cashiers worst nightmare, lol so if you work as a grocery store cashier you might not want to read this.

As most of you know I have 4 kids, two of which are teenagers, that eat like there is no tomorrow. So I was sitting there yesterday and the ads came in the mail as they always do on Wednesdays. Well holy moly, Albertsons, was having an AWESOME sale. Here is how it went. Boxes of cereal 10 for $20, if you buy 10 then you get 10 bucks off that. So it was $1 a box. Yogurt was 20 for $20, if you buy 20 you get $10 off. Those really expensive pre made cinnamon rolls, and cookie dough by pillsbury were 10 for $20,, if you buy 10 you got $10 off. Milk was buy one get one free at a sale price of $2 a gallon. A flat of eggs was buy one get one free at 8.99 a flat. So the rest you can all figure out, lol. It was an awesome sale.

So two hours later in this store and 5 cart loads of groceries, I mosy my way up to pay for all of this. Now I took my calculator and estimated that I would owe roughly around 486.00$ Well as I am done checking out the cashier tells me I owe 1, 469.32. I dont think so. I asked what happened to all the get $10 off discounts. He replies, our system is only designed to handle so many of those, after that it will stop giving you the discount. He then asked me how I would like to pay, lol. I asked where in the add or in the store is that advertised? He replied nowhere. So I said I want my discounts and how are we going to do that? He replies he cant do that in his computer sytem.
So I said void off everything except the 100 boxes of cereal. That took forever, lol. So he does that, then puts all this stuff back in the carts and pushes them up front. I pay for the cereal and push my carts up front, I then proceed to grab two of the other carts of stuff that he voided out and got back in line. I carefully arranged everything and seperated the orders, to make it two seperate orders, so he doesnt have the issue with his computer and the discounts. He is really annoyed at this point, lol, I paid for the two orders and pushed them up front with my other carts, grabbed the remaining carts of milk and cookie dough, then got into another confrontation about the milk. His computer was only set up to give two free milks, i had 16 gallons of milk in my carts. So I made him void it all out except for 4 milks and then set them all up as different transactions for each 4. In the end I was off on my calculations by 15.37, no big deal,, but a far cry from the 1469.00 he said I owed, lmao!
Here is the kicker,, his baggers ended up using 7 carts, I have no idea how,, then he asked me if I wanted help out with that,,, ahh NO, I have arms like an octopuss,lol DUUUHHHHHHH.

This story even gets better though, I load all my stuff in my minivan and am really cramped, as I am getting ready to leave the lady from the deli dept (lunchmeat and cheese, etc) is a lady who lives in my neighborhood, she tells me that, she has boxes of bacon and lunchmeat, blocks of cheese, etc that she is getting ready to put out for .99 a piece. So I went and got a coffee and went back in, she is not lying, I start digging through these boxes and holy moly,,,, SCORE !!!. So, I end up buying 200.00 worth of this stuff because I will just freeze most of it. I get back to the register, same guy,, he has to override every single item because it is not in the computer sytem as markdown... That took FOREVER.........lol.
I think they hate me now, oh well they are lucky I didnt come in with coupons too, lol

wow. I may have to agree with lacey there, but I can't blame you, paying $486 sounds a whole lot better then paying $1469.
