some more thinking out loud. Very overcast here, blah, it was so beautiful here yesterday. Biught some new books today on line, cant wait until they get here! A 500 page book on sulcatas designed for breeders and how to care for them in captivity. Should be a good book, not that I intend to breed him, hopefully it has a lot of great info in it. I also bought the book turtles and tortoises for dummies, I like those. I bought a couple of other ones also. I like this website that I found it is really cool. I bought some about 8 weeks ago and had no problems. They had a really cool book on The Galopogos Tortaise that was like 600 pages long but it was 289.00, so I had to pass, lol.
It had the scientific study and history and so forth on them, oh well I definately cannot justify that expense

Need to definately finish my easter bunny shopping, yuck! I hate to shop!

Took Joey and Oscar out yesterday in the beautiful sunshine and they both grazed in a dandelion field I found, YEAH! Joey is eating and drinking real well on his own now. He is a mini eating machine which makes me happy . He has a lot of great personality! I think he will be just fine. Of course everyone who ses him wants him along with Oscar, but they have no clue on what they both need! Oscar is just like a two year old! He knows that the back door is the way outside, so now he is constantly pushing on it and ramming it and grunting at the same time. Throwing a fit like a two year old, LOL.

Today is snake feeding day, makes for a long day, lol. I hope Wing and Prayer eat on their own because WOW it is not easy to force feed them I would sum it up to like wrestling with an alligator, not that I have ever done that but I assume it would be the same, lol

Grizzly looks all skinny again, He fattens up for a while then gets all skinny, so frustrating! He is also being a terd! he now trys to bite and lunge at me all the time! Ungrateful brat! I think the mega ray is actually bringing out some of the natural iguana behavior in him, which in all reality is a good thing! I will never complain about that considering we have been through a lot with him!

Oscar was kind enoughto show me what God gave him yesterday, yuck! And he would not put it back it was so obscene, lol. Come to think of it all of them old enough to are acting like that. I wonder if I should lower my estrogen pills. LOL I was actually afraid he would get an infection with as long as he was dragging it around outside, so disgusting!

Andrew is going to shed again, and Alexander is real cranky today! oh well
Gangis and Kahn are being totally obnoxious! They still have really bad outside manners, so we have to work on that for sure. Lucky is one of those I think will never leave here! He has not started to tame even a little bit, he may just be one of those "wild" animals at all times, how sad! But with everything he went through he has no reason to trust us humans! He has that survival instinct in him, when you feed him he will eat EVERYTHING until he looks like he is going to burst! He is still not aware that he will always be fed, so he eats like that because he is unsure of when his next meal will come.It is very sad! Hopefully one day he will realize that I will not huirt him and he will always have plenty of food all the time, poor guy!

well just thinking out loud again. I have to clean the Tokay cage, that thing is meaner than me, which is impressive!

Just posted reviews on a series of children’s books “About Series”. Take a look at the review. There are great to use with younger children, I use them as an introduction when I do a herp presentation with young kids.

September in Red Sea

Hi, friends

It is confirmed !

Between 8 and 15 september I´ll be on a Live aboard in the Red Sea. 2-3 dives per day (19 guaranteed) in one of the most fabulous diving areas in the world ! I´m really excited with the idea !!
I´m even more thrilled, because Cristina is coming. I don´t think she will dive a lot though... She´ll mostly be on the boat reading and taking sun baths

We will be 20-24 divers in a joined organization of a Portuguese and Brazilian reef forums. I am a moderator at the Portuguese REEFFORUM and this will be a fantastic way of celebrating our 4th aniversary.

So, here is the boat.

Nice, hey ??

Getting ready for the Easter Bunny

Got all ready for the Easter Bunny today. Even though Kate is no longer a believer she still expects a basket and to dye eggs. So we did the egg thing when we got home from my nephews Welcome Home Party this afternoon. Matt looks wonderful, put on a little weight since I saw him last summer. The 125 degree heat in full armor and inside a tank is a great way to shed weight But since he has been back from Iraq, and at his base in Germany four about a month, before he come home this week, he has gained some weight back, all that German beer does the trick! He is already missing his military way of life and told me he today has to keep talking himself out of going and re-enlisting He has until July and then he starts the police academy, I am sure when he gets settled in at home again and used to the civilian life he will be fine, he has been gone 3 1/2 years.

Here are some pictures from my day.

Here is Kate doing her eggs...

Here are the finished ones...

Here is my nephew Matt with Kate (on the right) and my niece Claudia.

My brother and SIL had Matt's party at a little marina near our house. It was nice, it would have been better if it wasn't 37 degrees with snow flurries

The reason the place looks all torn up is that the township is making the boat ramp deeper and wider. Plus this water is tidal and the tide was out It is actually on a lagoon right off of the Delaware river. We are fairly close to the Delaware Bay. We actually had a whale in the river last summer!

Wait, wait I think I saw the Easter Bunny!!!
