Re: The Internets Longest Thread
Amy its also the time of year for them to start brumating, that sounds like what he is doing. Mine is doing that as well. I offer food daily but he only eats every 3-4 or so. But pooping every couple of weeks sounds strange. Does he seem impacted?

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
Zola was only pooping every 2 weeks or so when I would make him with a hot bath and a massage and a syringe full of olive oil on him bugs.
I bumped his temps up almost 5 degrees and he is as happy as a clam, more active, better appetite, going to the bathroom every day or two. He's a changed Bearded Dragon.
Now his temps read hot, but he's happy so I go with it.

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
Very cool, Liz! I just designed a book cover for some of our faculty... it's at the publisher now. It's TOTALLY cool to see your name in the acknowledgments of somebody's book and credited "for real."
Your illustrations are great... I hope you get the job!

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
its not really a job but a collaboration. Its a woman with an autistic child who is tired for there not being any children's books out there aimed specifically at autistic children. We are going to do the book together and try to get it published. If this happens, we split the profit 50-50. She writes and directs the book, I do the illustrations, she does the promotion. Its great because she will do the parts I don't like to do. It may be my leg in.

Re: The Internets Longest Thread
Thanks for the advice on feeders and on the Bearded Dragon, guys. I'll see about upping his temps. He poops fine when I give him a bath (or sometime shortly thereafter, lol), I just don't do that often enough. Today his MegaRay died (but I should be able to get it replaced -- it's less than 6 months old). The crestie's MegaRay died, too -- very odd they both died the same day! But I do have an extra ceramic heater I could give Spike (the Bearded Dragon), so I will try that.
Edited to ask: or should I let/encourage him to brumate? How would I do that? Must search for info...
