I totally agree with "Santa" not knowing how to react to reptiles... here's him and Gil a few years ago...
 Though Gil is obviously just as freaked out! About oiling Oscar, his shell is alive, and oiling it could cause potential problems. I know that waxing the shell is not recommended, and oiling it isn't much different. You may want to do some research first... especially since he's still recovering.

yes I did! $25 gift card to Michaels. Everyone said it wasn't fair since I'm an artist and that gives me an edge.

Hey Nicole,
Remember a few posts ago you mentioned oiling Oscar? Well, today at the reptile show, Mom found out about a product for turtle/tort shells. It's made by Tetrafauna, and it's called "Turtle Vitashell." It is supposed to help with dry, brittle shells. I bet if you put some of that on just before his Santa pic he'd look great! well on another note I think I am BAH HUMBUG this year, lol. My children have already given me their xmas lists. For some reason they think I am loaded or mama Warbucks or something, lol. My oldest asked me for the xbox 360, amongst many other very spendy items, my oldest daughter wants the Wii, and a huge jewelery box with a ton of other stuff, my two younger ones have a two page list
 I already bought the 360 with some of the games and junk that go with it, 700.00 later KIDS,,, Barf,, lol. I loved it when they were all little and you could buy a ton of presents for 700.00 and fill the entire living room. It seems to me that xmas is kind of sneaking up on me and biting me in the butt, lol. I gues I should go shopping this weekend and at least get some of it done, I hate shopping after Thanksgiving because of the crowds, lol.
