Hanging around?

Ok, do you all remember how upset I was that Pumpkin Jack the cornsnake had wedged himself into the ceiling of his enclosure. Now take a look at Ky-Lin, who stayed up there sleeping all night last night and all day today! Why does a supposedly terrestrial python want to hang in the ceiling? She even moved from the hot to the cool side several times in the night without ever coming down! I imagine she did the same thing today while I was at work because when I left, she was up there, and when I came home she was up there...although I guess she could have come down for a while and gone back up just to frustrate me!

I put a kind of twisty rubber branch in her cage today. Maybe that will satisfy her urge to climb...Jack finally got to big to fit in the crack...heehee...I bet it won't take Ky-Lin too long to grow too fat as well!

My terrestrial snakes like to climb, I don't think snakes know when we classify them as one or the other
