I am not a chamleon expert by any stretch of the word but I do know that when one comes along they are going to want to know all of the details of your husbandry such as:
What type/size cage is it in?
Diet?
Substrate?
Humidity?
Temps?
UVB?
Vitamins/Calcium supplements?
Aso, is it just closed, or is there swelling or dicharge?

Most of this sounds good except the substrate. You should change it to newspaper or paper towels, paper towels being preferred. It could have gotten some of the ground fir bark in it's eye and now it is stuck in there. You should take it to the vet ASAP. Chameleons are very good at 'hiding' their illnesses so now that their is a sign of illness you need to take it to the vet. You might try putting him in your shower if you havent. What you do is if you have a shower head that can make mist you spray the water down on the chameleons plant so that half the plant is getting wet. If you dont have a misting shower head then try and make it bounce off the wall of the shower onto the plant. Make the water luke warm and watch him. He will act strange while he is being showered so don't worry too much. But he may fall so be ready to pick him up. Leave him in there for 15 minutes and then another 15 after the shower is over.

Good Luck and keep us posted on how he is doing

Alex

Also, dust your crickets with calcium WITH Vitamin D3. Do it every day for about a month then every other day afterwards.
