There are several varieties of panther chameleons. All are the same species, but different names are given to them based on where they are from. Panthers from different localities sport different colors. The ones that I know of are the nosy be, ambanja, diego suarez, red tamatave, sambava, juan, and the nosy boraha. The nosy boraha also goes by the St. Marie, nosy be's are also called blues, and I forget which ones are the rainbows. The various names come from the regions, or islands, of Madagascar where they come from.
Nosy be's are blue, ambanjas are green and blue with a little red, sambavas are green with red and orange ventral coloration. I'm not sure about the others.
