    Veiled Chameleons Living Together

I have a male and female veiled chameleon living together in the same cage. Everywhere I read they say that they shouldn't be housed together. Mine have been together for more than a couple months. They are doing great and do not mind the sight of each other. Also, I read that they dontdrink from still water. Mine did drink from bowls of water but I decided to get a waterfall because it looked good in the cage. My question is has anyone else ever house their chameleons together with sucess?

You are asking for trouble. And I suspect that your chams are juveniles. As they age their tolerances for others of the species lessens.
Chams are so territorial even their reflection in the glass wall of a tank will stress them. They just cant get away from the other cham that keeps staring at it.
Also male veileds have been known to kill females that are receptive to breeding.

Well anyways you asked and I gave an answer based on what I know as well as talking to many people who keep and breed veileds.

You are risking the health of your animals.

i had a friend who did the same thing they lived happily together for 6 months then he got home from work one day to find one dead and the other gravely wounded it eventually died of it's injuries, so if i were you i wouldn't do it he had all kinds of hiding spots for them to get away but in the end it didn't help. The only time such a territorial species should be kept together is for breeding and even then that has to be extremely supervised. My opinion is simple separate them

Oh well I seperated them for now. I put a plastic thing on the side of the cages because they are next to each other and I don't want them to see each other. When the female sees the male she turns black now because she is gravid! I can't wait for her to lay her eggs!
