Mister
Can anyone point me in the direction of a really good auto mister. I have so to work so much and I feel like my chameleon is just not getting enough water. Whenever I come home and mist her cage she actually gets in front of the mist and catches it in her mouth instead of waiting to lick it off the leaves.
Which brings me to another point.... I thought chameleons hated being handled? Oddly my girl would much rather be sitting on top of my head than in her cage. Whenever I'm cleaning the cage or just remove debris and such, she just wattles over and starts climb up my arm and onto my shoulder or head and just chills out or falls asleep.
I got her from a local pet store (gasp) perhaps she was handle a lot when she was younger?

Re: Mister
What size is her enclosure? She may want more space hence the climbing out and up.
MistKing is great. A little pricey but great.

Re: Mister
Mist king looks awesome. Her enclosure is 3ft tall 3 ft wide and 1 foot deep. It's on top of a high shelf making the top taller then me, I'm 6'3".
With the mist king, is there any way to get around the 80$ timer? Or is that the best way to use the system?

Re: Mister
I have seen some really tame Chams. While not being the norm, they are around.
With the timer issue. I'm not positive on how they go together but you should be able to use a garden sprinkler timer on it. They are only around $30-$40.

Re: Mister
Mistking is great, I have some of their nozzles hooked up to a garden pump. It works for the one cage I have. I plan on adding it to others too, just have to move the sprayer around.

Re: Mister
I'm not a fan of misting systems. What you said before... or falls asleep on your arm. That is a bad sign. Chameleons are diurnal. Sleeping during the day is the sign off an unhealthy or stressed out chameleon. If that continues a vet appointment is in line.

Re: Mister
Ehh, I just feel spraying my chams with a hand mister 3 times a day is a lot more effective. And it's more time I get to spend with my chams, and I don't mind that at all. Also if the chameleons are not within the spray they won't get spray. In my opinion spraying them also helps them keep hydrated, especially during sheds. Why are you a fan of misting systems?

Re: Mister
Oh, well she only sleeps on me if it's at night, but she climbs all over me if I open the cage up. And the mister is only up my alley because I'm in Car Sales and I work 80-90 hrs a week right now so I feel like she is just not getting enough water.
