86 F? Is that 24 hours a day? with those temps I would be using a fluorescent uvb bulb only.
They need to cool down just a bit at night.

No mate, my temps drop at night.
To let you know, my cham is doing great now,so lively and back to his usually moody self. I went and bought at-rex uv lamp, it was £65. The zoo's recomend this bulb and I have to say, he seems to like it. His colours look great under it.

hello , just joined group to find out if my chameleon had this as his head has got a big strange dry dying skin on his crown and I have had him a year , now and he seemed of his food so I took him to a reptile vet and he put him on antibiotics and some powder for dehydration but he is not he drinks from my bottle , but it is strange it looks like whats in your pics , he got another vets appointment this friday, i will tell him about this do you remember the name of the cream he gave , , i love my little chap he is amazing he loves his hour exercise on a tree in front of window and loves his food to , so any thing to help would be cool ,
