Female Veiled Possibly Eggbound

Thank you everyone, who offered their help on my previous question.

I do have another question, this is about my chameleon. And I was wondering what others might have done. Venus is a veiled chameleon. She is very large right now and holding onto a lot of eggs. She has never been bred. This is her 2nd time to have eggs. She has everything in there with her to lay them in, but won't lay them. Nothing is different from before (that I can see). Is there anything I can give her or do for her to help her?

Re: Female Veiled Possibly Eggbound

I don't know really anything about chams, but I would think that bumping up the humidity would possibly help some. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than I will chime in...

Re: Female Veiled Possibly Eggbound

How is your girl now? I don't know much about chams being gravid. My girl is only just old enough at a year. I'll be a nervous wreck when it happens for the first time.

Have you had her x-rayed? This can show if an egg is too large, possibly fused together, or deformed in some other way.

Re: Female Veiled Possibly Eggbound

I suggest a vet visit pronto if she does not lay them very shortly, there could be many things wrong with her

Re: Female Veiled Possibly Eggbound

Veileds can be picky about where they lay their eggs. What have you provided in the way off an egg chamber?
