Housing for Chameleons and BD's Question. . .

Is it safe to house BD's and Panther Chameleons in the same cage together??? I was just curious cuz I wanted to have a BIG cage with several diff. species of lizards in it and didnt know if they would fight or what would happen. . .if anyone can help I would REALLY appreciate it

No it is not ok to house them together. In order for different species to live together you would need an enclosure the size of a large room. Not to mention, bd's and chams have different houseing requirements. You need to keep species of the same in smaller enclosures.

Even with the same species, it's not always a good idea to keep them together. Most reptiles are territorial, and you will end up with dominance issues. Some do well with others of their own kind, but you have to be really vigilant and make sure that they are all eating well and behaving normally.

Ok, i was just curious. . .thanks for all of the quick responses!!! Looks like we're gonna have to build on another room to house all of our new babies
