On a search engine it came up with several pages,. this one is the wrong language!! but shows what a "forest chameleon" - Corytophanes cristatus? - looks like?? forest chameleon
When searching for the latin name it came up with this.. forest chameleon , which you can see is not actually a chameleon??
Sorry can't be of more help.. does your friend have any more info?

Found a few more links.. this is another one, which gives the lizard another common name. I'm not 100% sure if this is what your friend has
Forest Cham
And this link, which has a bit of info.. the lizard is not a basilisk, despite one of its common names, but it is of the same family from what I can gather, but can't find "forest cham" used on here either.. this one is a thinker Marsha! Very interesting and it will be intriguing to see what your friend hatches

Not sure if this is what you are wanting, but I can see a resemblance to chameleons, which may be where the "forest cham" name comes from. If I'm researching correctly!

Ya know, I am not really sure myself. He said this reptile shop does imports and exports, so I guess we will both be in the dark. If it turns out like the one in the 3rd link, that would be pretty cool. Looks kinda scary.
