Re: HEEEEELP! Advice anyone?

I feed my cham new born mice, but mine is also full grown. Zeus can be very picky at times, but they will eat when they are hungry, unless they are sick. As far as the temperaments, mine is almost always nasty, hisses, and spreads his body out and turns dark colors if I invade his space, unless he knows I am bringing food. Mine also was diagnosed with Metabolic Bone Disease before I got him, so his tongue will not shoot more than an inch out of his mouth, so when I feed him food I usually hold them one at a time in my hand. Try that...it may be gross, and the feeling of the crix squirming in your fingers the first couple times is horrible, but it may just work. As well, try taking a large container (glass jar or something along those lines) and putting the bugs in that. If they are not sick, when they are hungry, they will go to it. And that way, the bugs are not hopping around.
And as far as the female thing, I have never owned a female, but as far as I have seen, like most other lizards, they can still lay unfertilizaed eggs, but they do need somewhere they feel safe to lay, or they become egg bound.

Re: HEEEEELP! Advice anyone?

Lets step away from the text book examples. Not eating could be from the change in housing. I've read articals about Chams just being home sick and not feeding. Make sure they have optimal conditions and cover. Then feed them what the'll eat. Don't worry too much it could be that your just not seeing them eat but they are.

Don't worry about the female Cham they go though the motions and lay IF their given a good place. A large bucket with a branch or plant in it filled with subtrate works well. Most Chams egg bind if not given a proper place to deposit eggs.
