[Resolved] Not a suggestion - an observation

Not really a suggestion but I just noticed we have two product review sections... Should one of them be removed... probably the one with no posts, or was this intentional? Like one for official reviews and then one for everyone else?

Hey Randy,,,i am not totally sure but, I think one is for when someone wants to voice an opinion and the other for someone who actually writes an article about it...I'm sure Rich will be along to verify that, lol.

Actually, the Product Reviews in the Articles - Caresheets section is going to turn into an actual review location. This will be a place for users to review products that have used and rate varying aspects of the product. Users will also be able to post UNDER the main review and give their input and rating of the product.

This would be a good thread to find out what information users would be interested in knowing about specific products.

For example:

average cost, availability, etc.

Once we have an array of things that shoulkd be included in the reviews, I can finish that section up and make it available for everyone to use. This will help the members decide what products are favored and why.

Any ideas for how products should be evaluated?

just a few things off the top of my head, cost, quality, durability, amount of time the reviewer has owned it, and maybe a 5 star rating system and summary to see whether how they recommend it overall...

-cost is obvious
-quality would be whether they feel this product benefits the herp, how it may compare to other products, etc
-durability - did it break? after how long? does it feel sturdy? do you think it will last? you could also add a warranty section to supplement this
-length of time used would give an idea of how much experience the user has with it

at the end, the user can put in a 1-5 star rating, and give their overall thoughts on the product, and whether they recommend it.
