I think it would be nice to have a category for posting repuatable breeders, there website/phone number. Maybe by location, along with what there specialty is. Just a nice place to review breeders based on communication, prices, animal health, and so on.

thanks, most online breeders are very far, and i'm not sure i'm comfortable with having animals shipped to my door. I'll have to check one out.

my favorite online reptile store is LLLreptile.com I've ordered animals from them before and I've never once have a problem. Plus they're nice and helpful!

I thought the same thing the first time I had an animal shipped in. But they arrive just fine! I think I stressed more then the reptile stressed. You just need to make sure someone is going to be there during delivery times. I did the reptile show once and the quality of the reptiles had a lot to be desired. But I have also gone to herpetology society sales and had no problems getting reptiles.

There are also a few local stores that sell good animals. You will pay a bit more for them, but they are better.

i too would be interested in finding local breeders. i see there are a few posters in the wisconsin area.

Hey big fred, there is a great pet store in Milwaukee called "Hoffer's tropic life pets" they mostly have captive bred reptiles and they breed there own. If it is wild caught they tell you...it is sometimes pricey but that is where I bought my snakes years ago and my pre-hensile tailed skinks seeing that the owner bred them.
My Husband used to live by the owners summer house...small world.
