What's your career?
I still consider myself new-ish here, and I thought it might be interesting to see what kind of jobs we reptile people have, and see if there's any kind of common thread among them.
Personally I work in Graphic Design and Illustration, and I have a background in fine arts. Stereotypically artistic types are considered a little... excentric.

what, are you a clone of me?
I went to the Maryland Institute, College of Art. Graduated with a degree in visual communications with a concentration in children's book illustration.
I currently work for the library system doing all sorts of graphics, murals, and decorating consultant work for the branches. I also do free lance to pay for the finer things in life, like bad habits of working on cars and aquiring more pets.
I haven't done much personal work in a while. I suppose that's because work taps my creativity so much. I will be starting a garden this summer though.

After working for an accident reconstruction firm (the forensic guys who figure out how they happened) for 30 years, I now make magnetic jewelry which I vend at festivals, arts and crafts shows, motorcycle rallies, and Medieval fairs.

I´m a (tax) lawyer in a law firm.
Joined the firm in 1993 as a trainee and became a partner in 2005.
Presently responsible for our Algarve (South of Portugal) office, where I live during the week with my Sinaloan milksnake. Every Friday evening I travel back to Lisbon (~200 miles) to my family (and reef tank).

After working too many long years for the division of children and family services (otherwise known as CPS) and not ever figuring out how to leave the job at the door, I quit and we opened up a construction comany which is doing quite well. I will never return to that line of work, so all my schooling and degrees are useless I used to think that I was going to change the world and help these kids and their families but I was very WRONG! You can only help those that admit they have a problem and want the help. It was causing too much stress in my home life, so it had to stop or I was going to end up single
So now I answer the phone for our company, occasionaly work some and may I stress occasionaly ! I stay home with my 4 wonderful kids and do the rescue that I have now! I can say for me personally it works out much better for my family and marriage! And now I dont have to pay someone to mow the lawn and clean the house........hmmmmmmmmmmmm......I think I got ripped off

I.. Don't.. Know...
I've jumped from being a Commercial pilot, Vet Tech, Zoo worker and grew bored.. I'm kind of scared to do anything else I loved as a past time. (I fly, like tending/helping to animals, pretty much have my own zoo)
I want to be a Teacher, Law enforcement, Fire Fighter, Special Forces or a Dinosaur.
I think I may go to school for something I hate and see how that goes..
