Therefore seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we faint not: but we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. /2 Corinthians 4 1-2 (ASV)

You can also go into the woods and find a fallen log to use. If it's small enough to go in the oven then bake it at 300 degree's for an hour, or, you can soak it in a 1/10 bleach/water solution for 24 hours and then use clean water and soak(you must change the clean water about every 2 hours or so til you don't smell bleach anymore)

I have never bought a log, just gathered them.

Ya know, they DO grow on trees.
I have never bought one either, everything in my cages has come from out in the woods or I've snagged lots of good branches when my neighbors were pruning their trees.
