A social insurance number is the same as our social security numbers?

When we bought our house we took money from our retirement plan to help with the down payment. I thought I had all of the tax stuff figured out. Well, when we went to file our taxes I we found out we OWED $5000!! The IRS wacked us hard with penalties for early withdrawl of OUR money to purchase out first home! I had set up a payment plan and the IRS messed that up and said we had to pay the money or they were going to take the house! So we went to the bank and took our a loan and paid the IRS. It was a nightmare!

Yep same as social security number. Yes Kelly the more time goes on the more I learn that we need to hide our money from the government registered retirement plans just seem to be a way for the government to keep track of peoples savings so they can tax them upon withdrawal.

Indeed as they say in the States. If you take the words "The IRS" remove the space it reads "Theirs"!
