it depends on what to you is small and what you're willing to handle. i have a Rosy boa and they only get to be about 2 1/2 to 3 feet in length and are pretty docile but they do not like high humidity or really cold temperatures. mine lives in a 20 long tank where the warm side is 80-82. you don't want it to be too hot though. also as they get older be ready for them to go off food for the winter. mine is about 5 years old and for the past 2 years he's gone off food for about 6 months. he also eats large frozen thawed mice. hope this helps. you should definitely look into what you can afford to care for and space requirements. always do research on any animal and have the enclosure up and ready with the right temps so your animal has less stress than it normally will when you bring him/her home.

A lot will ride on whether you are talking about boa constrictor or just any type of snake that has the name boa. Or if you are referring to a boid type of snake which could include smaller python species as well.
Its a pretty vague, open ended question.

I was looking for a boa constrictor somewhere around 4-6 feet long and one that you could be able to handle without a problem? If so can you list a few types of boa constrictor?

If you are set on a Boa Constrictor, with that size restriction, I would say a Hogg Island boa is one of the few, if not only, that would stay that size. Most mainland constrictors reach lengths greater than 8 feet.

I agree. The Hoggs or other island locality boas are considered dwarfs. However you will also pay more for them.

It will depend on where you are, who is doing the selling and the availabilty of the species. If there are not many available they will command a higher price.
Some of the island localities are very expensive!

I'd have to agree and say Hogg Island Boa. But I've seen price tags on them upwards of around $500.00 to $600.00US.

Good luck with your search
